Motorist alleges Amazon delivery driver drove wrong way, fled from collision

A motorist claims he and his daughter were run off the road by an Amazon delivery driver who was driving the wrong way on Interstate 255.

Plaintiff Devin Allen filed the lawsuit in the Madison County Circuit Court against defendant XSeed Delivery LLC and its employee, Marcus Holloway.

According to the lawsuit, Allen was traveling on highway 255 while his daughter was following him in a separate vehicle on Oct. 8, 2020. The lawsuit alleges that at the same time, Holloway, a driver in the employ of XSeed Delivery, was driving a blue Amazon van on the same highway. Holloway allegedly had been traveling on the wrong side of the road for miles, forcing other drivers, including Allen and his daughter, to take evasive maneuvers to avoid a head-on collision. Allen claims Holloway ran him and his daughter off the road. The defendant then allegedly skidded off the road and fled the scene. Holloway continued driving on the wrong side of the road and was labeled by authorities as the “Wrong Way Amazon Driver.”

Allen is demanding a jury trial to seek damages in excess of $50,000 for damages including present and future medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish and any other relief the court deems proper.
