Suit alleges truck driver caused Interstate 64 collision

A Swansea woman is suing Norseman Trucking, alleging one of its employees caused a rear-end collision on Interstate 64.

Plaintiff Rachel Tribout filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois against Norseman Trucking, Inc and one of its employees Ricky Allen Jindra, citing negligence.

According to the lawsuit, on Jan. 15, Tribout was traveling eastbound on Interstate 64 in St. Clair County when she was allegedly rear ended by Jindra, an employee acting on the behalf of Norseman Trucking, Inc.

Tribout claims she sustained serious injuries to various parts of her body, which have caused her to experience disability, pain and suffering. She alleges her injuries have caused her to lose wages and will impact her ability to earn income in the future.

Tribout is seeking damages in the amount of $75,000, plus court costs and any other relief the court deems proper.
