Passenger sues over Collinsville rear end collision

A vehicle passenger claims she suffered injuries when another motorist caused a rear end collision in Collinsville.

Vicki Bridges filed a complaint Nov. 1 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Chasitty Sandage, alleging negligence.

According to her complaint, Bridges was a passenger in a car that was stopped at a red light on Beltline Road in Collinsville on Nov. 11, 2019. Bridges claims Sandage failed to yield the right of way and struck the rear of the car she was riding in.

As a result, Bridges claims she suffered injuries to her neck, back, ligaments, tendons and other parts of her body.

Bridges alleges Sandage was negligent for failing to avoid the collision, driving too fast and failing to keep a proper lookout for other vehicles.

She also alleges that as a result of her injuries from the crash, she endured medical procedures and therapies and lost time off from work.

Bridges seeks compensation of more than $50,000 and all other just relief.
