East St. Louis vehicle crash leads to lawsuit

A crash in East St. Louis has prompted a lawsuit between the parties involved

Lekita Casey filed a complaint on June 19 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Latonia McCline.

According to the complaint, McCline forcefully struck Casey’s vehicle from behind. The impact caused Casey to be tossed within her vehicle, the complaint states. Casey claim McCline failed to yield right of way and or take evasive actions to avoid a collision.

Casey requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by Daniel G. Broombaugh of Caraway, Fisher & Broombaugh in Belleville.
